Ann Alchin of Kent 1816

In the Name of God Amen I Anna Alchin of the County of Kent spinster being of sound and disposing mind though weak in bodily health so for avoiding confusion after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give bequeath and dispose thereof as follows viz……all ready money securities the funds or elsewhere all wearing apparel or effects …….. owing or belonging to me at the time of my decease I give and bequeath unto my dear sister Elizabeth Balfour and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said sister sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament she paying to my brother a legacy of 300 stock 3 per cent Consols as the Consols may be at my decease and I so declare this to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this first day of October 1810 Anna Alchin signed sealed made published and declared in the presence of Edward Young and J Standen

Proved at London the 17th July 1816 before the worshipful Samuel Drain Parson Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Elizabeth Balfour widow the sole Executrix to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
